Learn the skills fabrication shops and production facilities are looking for with our TIG, MIG & Flux Welding Course. This 4-month, 240-hour hands-on program focuses on pipe welding using carbon metals, giving you real-world experience in the techniques and setups used inside fabrication environments.
What You’ll Learn
Train across three major welding processes used in shop and production pipe welding:
• TIG (GTAW) – for precise, clean welds on carbon pipe.
• MIG (GMAW) – for efficient and consistent root passes.
• Flux-Cored (FCAW) – for strong, durable hot pass, filler, and cap layers.
• Orbital Rollout Machine Training – learn how to use an orbital rollout machine for pipe rotation and control.
You’ll also learn:
• Pipe preparation and fit-up
• Beveling and joint setup
• Repair and rework techniques
• Shop-level weld inspection and quality standards
Course Breakdown
• Months 1 & 2: Full TIG welding — build precision, control, and strong fundamentals on carbon pipe.
• Months 3 & 4: Transition to MIG and Flux — MIG for roots, Flux for hot pass, filler, and cap work.
• Final Weeks: Hands-on orbital rollout machine training, simulating real fabrication and production shop conditions.
Why Choose This Course
This course is perfect for those looking to work in fabrication shops, production lines, or industrial manufacturing. You’ll gain hands-on experience in TIG, MIG, and Flux pipe welding, plus learn how to operate an orbital rollout machine — giving you the precision, speed, and confidence needed to succeed in today’s high-demand welding industry.

Welding is a high-demand field with excellent career prospects. Graduates can pursue opportunities in construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, and many other industries.
No prior welding experience is required. Our programs are designed for complete beginners as well as those looking to improve existing skills.
We'll provide a complete list during enrollment, but typically students need work boots, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. We'll cover specific requirements for welding helmets, gloves, and other protective equipment.
Our programs are open to high school students, recent graduates, career changers, and anyone looking to improve their welding skills. We welcome students from all backgrounds and experience levels.
